Astrophotography
We've finally been getting some clear nights here in New England and this past Saturday I decided to take advantage of the skies and take some pictures of the stars. There's a park not too far from where I live that has no lights and open views in most directions. Unfortunately the humidity was high, causing the lens to fog over, and the moon was more than half full. I was able to get some decent shots but figured I'd try again another time when the humidty wasn't causing havoc with the lens.
Finally back
It's been quite awhile since I have written anything on the site. I guess that's what happens when you have a new baby. My wife and I became parents for the first time last November and it's quite the life adjustment. No matter how much people tell you that a child will change your life, you really don't know until you experience parenthood for yourself. I wouldn't change anything that has happened over the last 6+ months. I haven't totally neglected my camera during that time either. I probably have a thousand pictures of my daughter. It doesn't hu
New England foliage
This is my favorite time of the year. I'm not a huge fan of the summer. It gets too hot, too muggy, too sticky, etc... The spring is okay but there's a lot of rain and the days seem more unpredictable. Winter would be my second favorite season even though it gets quite cold and I live in a snow belt area. That leaves (no pun intended) fall. I love the warm days and cool evenings. It's usually not too hot or too cold. The best part of the fall season is the New England foliage.
